1 pm: A Fresh Trade and fair weather
2 pm: A Flying Shower of Rain – Set up the Armourers Forge – Saw sevc Sheerwaters
4 pm: at 4 Shortened Sail nad hauled to the Wind, Tacked Ship and lowered down the Jolly boat – sent her to look for a Hammock that had fallen overboard – Tacked Ship again and stood towards the boat – she returned with the Hammock – Hoisted her up and made Sail – at ½ past 6 down Steering Sails and took in the 1st Reefs Top Sails – Worked the pumps as usual – Lightning to the Northward – at Midnight clear weather – a fresh Trade – at 2 Lightning in the NE Quarter
5 am: Saw a number of flying fish and Two Tropic Birds – Out 1st Reefs and set Steering Sails – Scrubbed Hammocks
9 am: Served thick portable Soup Gruel for Breakfast – at 8 a moderate Trade and fine weather – Cleaned below and aired with the Stoves – Exercised the Marines at platoon firing – Armourer at the Forge – Bore cole and portable Soup in the pease for dinner and Sweet Wort and Krout at the usual Times – Broached a puncheon of Spruce Beer – at 11 a heavy Shower of rain with some wind – in Lower and Main Top Mast Steering Sails at ½ past 11 set them again – dried the Hammock Cloaths
12 noon: at Noon a Fresh Breeze and fair weather – Assistant in Company
