1 pm: A Fresh breeze and fair weather

 4 pm: Shortened Sail for the Assistant – The water very smooth

 7 pm: Hazy horizon – let fresh water in, and pumped it out as usual

 9 pm: Fresh breezes and cloudy – in 1st Reef of the Main and 2d Fore & Mizen Top Sails

12 mid: In 2d Reef of the Main Topsail

 1 am: Ditto Weather

 4 am: A Fresh Gale and cloudy set the Main Top Gallant Sail

 7 am: Saw Sheerwaters, Albatrosses, Mother Careys Chickens and Silver Birds in numbers

 9 am: Cleaned below and aired with fires

10 am: Served portable soup in the Burgoo for breakfast, and sweet wort and Krout as usual

12 noon: At Noon fresh breezes and cloudy weather – The water very smooth
