Bond's Providence Logbook Nov 18, 1792

Remarks &c from Timor towards St. Helena 18th November 1792

 1 pm: Light breezes and fine weather with a swell from the SW

 3 pm: People employed Signal and mending their Clothes. Gunners blacking &c. the 2nd Deck Guns.

 4 pm: Saw a Pintada bird, Albatrosses and some Sheerwaters.

 6 pm: Moderate breezes and fine clear weather

 8 pm: Some black clouds to the Southward & Eastward

10 pm: In 1st reef Mizen Top Sail

12 mid: Fresh breezes and cloudy weather the swell much abated

 4 am: Ditto Weather

 5 am: Set the starboard lower, & Main Top Mast steering sails &c. out reef Mizen Top Sail – Breakfasted the People on Portable Soup Gruel as usual.

 7 am: Fresh gales and cloudy with very smooth water. Saw Sheerwaters, an Albacore and some Albatrosses – Set Main Top Gallant Steering Sails – Furled the Main Sail – Mustered in Divisions and performed Divine Service in the Cabin Served out Sour Krout as usual.

12 noon: Fresh gales and fair weather the Assistant rather dropping astern with all sails set
