Bond's Providence Logbook Nov 8, 1792

Remarks &c from Timor towards St. Helena 8th November 1792

 1 pm: Fresh breezes and fair weather Saw Tropic birds

 2 pm: Sailmakers repairing the old Jib.

 4 pm: Ditto Weather

 5 pm: Worked the Pumps as usual

 7 pm: In Top Gallant Steering sails and 1st reef Top Sails. Spoke the Assistant and found all well on board.

 9 pm: In Lower steering sail.

11 pm: In Fore Top Mast steering sail.

12 mid: Fresh breezes and cloudy; a heavy Dew falling

 2 am: Set Fore Top Mast Steering sail

 5 am: Scrubbed the Larboard Watch's Hammocks. Out reef and set all sail – Saw Tropic birds.

 7 am: Served the usual Breakfast of thic Portable Soup Gruel

 8 am: Fine weather and very hazy – roused up and cleaned under the Best Bower Cable &c. New stowed the Wing.

10 am: Carpenters repairing and painting the small Cutter – Sailmakers about old sails.

11 am: Served Krout

12 noon: Fresh breezes and cloudy weather with haze. Assistant in company
   Latitude Observed 25°:43′:10″ South
