Bond's Providence Logbook Nov 3, 1792

Remarks &c Saturday 3rd November 1792

 1 pm: Light breezes and cloudy weather with a long heavy and confused swell

 3 pm: Stowed the Fore & Main Sail rooms afreash; and roused up the Small Bower Cable and new stowed

 6 pm: Light breezes and cloudy weather with a long swell. In Top Gallant Steering sails, out 1st reef Top Sails

 9 pm: Squally to the Eastward in Fore & Fore Top Mast Steering sail.

12 mid: Light airs, Calms, and fair weather with fine Moon light

 2 am: Small rain.

 4 am: Light airs and cloudy weather

 5 am: Made necessary sail

 7 am: Tacked ship falling off to Se – Saw a sand Piper and some birds like Gulls. – Served the usual Breakfast. Light winds and an obscure sky. Washed below. – Saw 2 Sharks, many Albacores, Dolphins, Bonettas, and several sea fowl, including Cape Hens and a Noddie round the ship. Passed by a piece of a small spar. Many Squid also to be seen, in the sea – Set steering sails &c. – Out 1st reef Top Sails

12 noon: At Noon Light breezes and cloudy tho fair, with a squall of Rain &c on the lee bow
   Latitude Observed 21°: 1′:32″ South
