Bond's Providence Logbook Oct 29, 1792

Remarks &c from Timor towards St. Helena 29th October 1792

 1 pm: Fresh gales and fair weather with haze

 4 pm: Saw Sheerwaters.

 5 pm: Worked the Pumps as usual

 7 pm: In lower steering sail.

10 pm: Set ye lower steering sail.

12 mid: Cloudy

 1 am: Shortened sail occasionally for the Assistant to keep in her station

 5 am: Out 1st reef Top Sails and set Top Gallant steering sails.

 6 am: Served the usual Breakfast of thick Portable Soup Gruel.

 8 am: Fresh breezes and cloudy – Up all Chests and Bags, and washed the Gun, Orlop, & Cockpit Decks. Sluiced the Beams &c. and aired with Fires as usual with Brodies stoves in the Cockpits – Served Krout & Vinegar, and Bore Cole and Portable Soup in the Gruel for Dinneer – Sailmakers repairing the Top Gallant Sails

12 noon: Fresh breezes and fine weather with slight haze – The Assistant in company
