Saw land from NbW to NWbN – Sent the Boats to Leeward to examine for a passage – At 5 the Boats returned with good tiding os a passage being there. Worked the Pumps as usual – In Boats and down Top Gallant Yards
9 pm: Saw in the course of the day some flocks of green Birds about the size Sheerwaters, wandering from one Island to another.
5 am: At day light out Boats – Breakfasted at 6 O'Clock on Gruel as usually made – Up Top Gallant Yards
6 am: Moderate breezes and fair weather At 7 Hour.36 Minutes weighed under double reefed Top Sails – Assistant and Boats leading making signal occasionally of the Soundings – At 8.50 ye Twins bore South
9 am: At 9 Hour.50 Minutes Saw Land in the WbN made ye Signal to the Assistant. Saw
many birds, fish, and a water Snake. At 10 Hour.50′ saw a sand bank and high land bearing SW.

brought up with the Small Bower in 6¾ fathoms couse Coral sand. The Twins (Brothers) bearing
