Bond's Providence Logbook Feb 3, 1792

Remarks &c Friday 3rd February 1792

 1 pm: Fresh breezes and squally shortened sail for the Assistant

 3 pm: Moderate and fair made sail.

 7 pm: In 1st reef. Let in water &c as usual

 8 pm: Moderate and cloudy.

10 pm: Fresh gales and cloudy – In steering sails

 4 am: In 2nd reef Top Sails

 7 am: Thick Gruel & Portable Soup for People's Breakfast.

 8 am: Strong gales and thick misty weather in 2 reef Main & close reefed Fore Top Sail. Strong gales with heavy squalls, and misty. In Main Top Sail – down Top Gallant Yards. reefed and handed the Foresail – Served Krout and Wort as usual – Bent and set the storm staysails – Cleaned and aired below

12 noon: At Noon strong gales and thick rainy weather with a high sea – Assistant in company.
   No Observation
