Bond's Providence Logbook Jan 16, 1792

Remarks &c towards New Holland 16th January 1792

 1 pm: A moderate breeze and fine weather

 4 pm: Saw a very large Blue Shark

 5 pm: Light breezes and fair weather

 6 pm: Let in water and pumped it our as usual Saw Silver birds, Sheerwaters, Albatrosses, Bonetas, and a very large Whale

 9 pm: Cloudy

12 mid: Moderate and fine clear weather – a heavy Dew falling.

 4 am: Made all sail

 5 am: Saw the same kind of birds as yesterday.

 6 am: Shortened sail for our Consort

 7 am: Cleaned below and aired with fires – People employed shifting their Hammocks and airing their bedding. Sailmakers employed

 8 am: Served Krout and Wort. Portable Soup & Borecole mixed with oatmeal for the People's Dinners – Served the weekly allowance of vinegar

12 noon: Fresh breezes and cloudy – Assistant in company
   Observatkion not to be depended on – 38°:47′ South
