Fresh Breezes and Squally Weather with some showers of Rain. Wind ENE. Thermometer 80° to 83½°.
AM Received 204 Pots of Plants, 19 Boxes and 24 Tubs. Total 441, 19, 24. Natives about us as usual and great supplies of every Kind.
The operation of taking the Plants on board is rather tedious and takes up all our time, as we have to sort and place the different Sizes as to be fixed advantageously in the apartments allotted for them. They are in excellent Order, and have made considerable shoots. The Roots have shown through the bottoms of the Pots, and would have grown into the ground, but from Mr. Nelson and his assistants attention who have taken care to prevent it.
I shall sail the first moment that it is possible for me to get out, but I cannot attempt it without Light Airs or Westerly Winds, as the outlet is dangerous; if warping with fresh Breezes.
Tynah as usual dined with me, also his Brother Oreepyah and Poeeno who brought me Cocoanutts and Plantains and a Hog each for my Sea store. It is however unfortunate for us that we have but very little room so that our Stock cannot be very great without being much lumbered.
